Community

Really big believer in helping out in the community and demonstrating to my son the power of kindness. Carrying on my Dad’s legacy of being a great community man (he passed on at aged 58 from cancer) and being a Good role to my son was the main reason behind starting the kindness project We Make Good Happen.

I’m a very proud Dad, happily married guy, who loves helping people. Loves music. Loves creativity. Loves kindness. Loves running. Loves travel. Loves adventure. Loves community. Loves people. Loves personal development books. Loves making a difference.

Born in Bristol. Lived in London. Moved to Cardiff. Turned down a very nice job in LA.

“I saw him talk at two different events and knew I had to get him in to my work place to talk about ‘sparking the joy of human kindness’.

Matt’s personal story is funny and interesting, but the underlying message is compelling: we can all find ways to be responsible for making a positive difference, every day.

Matt is humble, unassuming, and completely inspiring. If you get a chance to listen to him talk, take it. you won’t be disappointed.”

Stewart John (Communication and Engagement Manager – DVLA)

“Matt gives off a great energy and was extremely inspiring.

The essence of ‘making good happen’ is such a simple action that many never do, Matt made it seem effortless (which it really is) and got us all motivated to make a difference. It was a great pleasure doing good with our #Tenner4Good and it also bonded the Princes Trust team.

There needs to be more Matts out there and more ‘Good’.

Thanks for the best team day I’ve had.”

Rich O’Dell (The Prince’s Trust)
